ROOT DOWN WISCONSIN
We are a small urban nursery specializing in native plant and seed sales.
All of our plants are grown in our backyard nursery or at our community garden plot in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Every plant we grow is herbicide and pesticide free and they are the source plants for all of our packaged seeds.
We are passionate about growing native plants and promoting their use in urban and suburban landscapes. Replacing turf lawn with native plants supports local food webs, controls run off, sequesters carbon and improves soil health.
NATIVE PLANT SALES
Saturday June 6 will be our opening plant sale for the 2026 season. Visit our backyard nursery from 8 AM - 3 PM.
We host native plant sales in our backyard nursery, at our community garden plot, and at pop up sale sites throughout SE Wisconsin. All plants are grown by us, are native to the SE Wisconsin ecoregion and are 100% herbicide and pesticide free.
After June 6th, plants will be available to purchase online for local pick up in Wauwatosa, WI.

NATIVE SEED SALES
Our seeds are hand harvested, sorted, cleaned, and packaged in Wauwatosa, WI. We know the source of every individual seed so you can be confident that they are always herbicide and pesticide free.
Seed packets are available for local pickup, or they can be shipped for a small fee.
